The race weekend exploded at Kings Speedway Hanford,Ca. for the 2nd Annual C.D.C.R.A Regionals friday night. D.A.R.T. drivers held it down with Derek Rosse won the A-Main after transferring from the B-Main with a 4th place finish. Billy Wilson made the A-Main and finished 13th in the feature after a 2nd place finish in heat #5. The #3 car of Gene Kay came from winning the B-Main to a 19th place finish. And the hard charger of the night goes to Reese Wilson, who battled from a 2nd place C-Main finish, to B-Main where he placed a 9th spot transfer position, and ending up 23rd after a crash in the A-Main. You wouldn't have guessed it was a Vet Class Friday night, Darts, Skip Hempler finished 2nd in the A-Main and the 8F car of Leroy Kay placed a strong 6th place finish for the night. Raceboy Wilson finished 5th in Sportsman Division, redeeming himself from a last place finish in heat 2. Saturday night was quite an exciting pro feature event! Derek started on the pole after a pro fast dash after being the sole dart driver in the dash. Other dart drivers in the feature were Billy "Vuki Jr." Wilson, who made a strong showing, coming from the C-Main to a 4th place finish, and receiving a Hard Charger Award. In the field were Gene Kay, who started 21st in the C and fought his way into the Top 10 with an 8th place finish. Derek Rosse fell back to a 14th place finish. After a minor tangle up, Reece went to the back with 5 laps to go and ended up with a 28th place finish and Pro/Vets Class charger Leroy Kay, rounded up the Dart Pro Class with a 56th overall finish. Those gung-ho Vets, held nothing back in their feature Saturday night with a 6th place finish going to skip who made the feature after a 2nd place finish in Friday nights A-Main. Dart only had one representative in their feature, Race"Boy" Wilson, started 6th in the event, but slipped back to an 8th place finish after mechanical problems. -
